St. Croix Swim Club was founded in
August 2000, in the Stillwater, Minnesota area. We are a year-round
c ompetitive swim team which offers professional coaching
for the novice through highly experienced swimmer in the form of
four levels of instruction and training. Each of the four
levels has specific objectives and goals that follow a logical
progression. Coaches are responsible for placing swimmers in
the appropriate level based on a swimmer’s age and
ability.
Under
the direction of our head coach, two-time Olympian Olga
Espinosa, our amazing coaches create an environment that
reinforces self-esteem while fostering good sportsmanship, physical
fitness and respect for others. Their goal is to promote the sport
of swimming and encourage each swimmer to reach his or her highest
potential in a challenging and fun atmosphere. Although we
may not be the BIGGEST swim club in the Twin Cities Metro Area, we
have the BEST coaches, and we’re not afraid to brag about
them!
St.
Croix Swim Club is a
non-profit club, run by its elected Board of Directors, all of whom
are parents of swimmers, willing to donate their time to help
maintain a well-rounded competitive swim team. Members of the
St. Croix Swim Club are welcome to attend monthly board meetings,
and are encouraged to be actively involved in team
activities. The success of our club is dependent upon
the volunteerism and fundrasing efforts of ALL
families.
